GROWTH IN CHRIST

Without pruning there is no growth. Without growth there is no life.

In Christianity we are not given a free pass to escape the woes and trials of this world. There may be times when we feel like persecution and discipline are pressing down on us from every angle. But, "As sure as God puts His children in the furnace he will be in the furnace with them." (Charles Spurgeon)

“These [trials] have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (1 Peter 1:7)

God not only promises us that He will stand in the fire with us, but also that He will refine us like pure gold and silver.
Don’t run away from the fire or hide from the shears. Let Him burn away the impurities and cut off all the dead branches in your life so that you can continue to grow in Him.

Have a blessed day!
